Kisima is awarded Runner Up to Best in Show; Best Headed Bitch and Best Gaited Bitch at the 2011 RRCQ Inc Championship Show, under Judge Mr Jan Coppens (Netherlands).
We are so proud of her achievements at this show! This was the show her mother, Makena, often did well at winning a BISS and RUBISS!
"Kisima" is the girl we have kept from Makena's last litter.
Her name means 'Spring' in Swahili, which we felt was appropriate as she was born on the first day of Spring! It is also appropriate in that she springs around the yard and is a real climber. I have never seen a puppy climb over a fence as fast as she did!
"Kisima" has had limited showing due to family committments meaning I do not get to shows as frequently now. She has won numerous Class in Group awards in her limited showing.
Kisima had her first litter to 'Makani' Ch Amakhosi Winds of Change, in 2010. She has a son, Obi, Amakhosi I Am The Business, owned by Maxine Nott and Peter Grinter, who is in the showring. This is Maxine and Peter's first showdog and they are doing a wonderful job with him.
We hope that 'Kisima' will follow in her mum's footsteps and enjoy strutting her stuff in the showring, she certainly showed what she is capable of at the RRCQ Inc Champ Show in 2011!
Kisima's second litter was to Ch Jomeja Tale of the Cat (Kostya). She had 13 pups, 3 females and 10 males. They all had lovely long ridges and one boy had a single crown, and another a third crown. We have a girl from this litter in partnership with Maxine Nott and Peter Grinter. Her name is Amakhosi Our Royal Princess (Nala), who won Baby in Group at her very first show! We look forward to watching her grow. Nala has a litter brother who is also going to be shown. He is owned by Sheree Kilpatrick and Peter Toy and is their first show dog. His name is Amakhosi Royal Rising (Dyson). We wish them well and look forward to watching this lovely boy develop in the years to come.
I have not shown the dogs through 2012, due to a leg injury. I hope that I will be able to get them out again sometime in the near future.
