'Kirra' is the girl we kept from 'Abby's' first litter, our 'Bush' litter.
She is a chocolate Kelpie.

She is a sweet natured pup, and is very quick to learn.

Kirra was sparingly shown in 2013. In those few shows she did attend, she was awarded Multiple Class in Group and Best of Breed awards. She also achieved 3rd in the only Puppy Sweepstakes she was entered in.

We discovered Herding and joined the Continental Herding Club in 2013, when Kirra was a pup. She loved herding!
Kirra attained her first two Herding Titles by the age of 9 months!
She was awarded her Herding Test (HT) and Pre-Trial Test (PT) Titles.

Herding competitions take a break over the hotter summer months, so the season for trialling is quite short.
Kirra began trialling in A course in 2015. We didn't get to do enough training in 2014, due to my work committments, to enter any trials. She attained her Herding Started Title in 2015 and began training for the next level in A Course to hopefully compete in 2016.
We also discovered Yard Dog Trials, and have attended some courses to hopefully compete in this area in the future. She loves working close to the sheep and has no fear of them.

Conformation shows have taken a back seat in the past few years. We both enjoy herding and do not have many spare weekends for shows. It is a busy household with 3 very active and sports mad teenage sons, so I do not have many weekends free. I do hope to get Kirra to some shows in 2016 and complete her conformation title too.

For more photos of Kirra, please go to our 'photo gallery' page.

Kirra is having a break from herding training in the latter stages of 2015 and early 2016 due to maternal duties.
Her first litter of pups is due in early February 2016.
The sire is Multi Best in Show Gr Ch Tegoura Toblerone, 'Toby', owned and bred by Stephen and Sharryn Lewis of Tegoura Kelpies.
For more information on the litter, please go to the 'puppy availability' tab and look for the 'Kirra/ Toby litter' tab under it.
